Does anyone have any good tips on how to beat Nightmare?
EDIT: I now give out tips, and if I dont know how to do it, PM Snort, as he has played through the entire game around 7 times, and found every tank. I have played through it the whole way once, but I've done the ending segment 5 times.

Sorry. Dun have Fusion yet. Reasonably high on my list of things to get, but before I can get it I need to get a GBA, which requires money. I can help with prime pretty well though. lol.

Actually, I beat him on my own and have beat the game, but thanks for trying!
On another note, I will now be giving out tips!!
Proto, you dont have choice over beams. Once you earn a beam, you have to use that one until you earn the next. First beam power up comes from the second boss, in sector 1, SRX, the Cho-zo statue boss that immediately goes to its core X form, where you have to shoot the hole with a missile as it opens up to shoot you. Hope that helps!

[shadow=red,left,300]My question is once you get a good beam why would you want to use the old beams?[/shadow]

Well, playing metroid prime the reason is obvious, different enemies are weak to different types of weapons. I haven't played fusion, so I dunno if anything like that is true in that game.

Nope. In MF, your first beam sucks, your second beam allows you to charge it, your third beam fires three normal ones at once so you're more likely to hit, fourth peirces enemies so you can hit more than one, and fifth peirces walls and enemies.

How do you beat SA-X?

Oh. I found the cheapest way ever to beat it. You know that little ledge on the left, inbetween the first and second doors? What you do is freeze it with a missle, jump up there, and charge your shot, then when it jumps up, let it rip. If done right, it should knock it off the ledge. And when it tries to jump back up it will accidentally jump up agaimst the bottom of the ledgs and go under it, making it have to run out, then run back and jump up again, giving you time to charge your shot again. If you feel good about you're timing skills, you can try to hit it by jumping up and shooting down through the platform, and you can get it stuck going through a patter there where it cant even jump up, but it's really hard to get the timing right for that. Sometimes though, it will jump over you onto the small litle ledge behing the main part of the ledge, in case of which, you run uunder him as he does and get off the ledge. when he drops down, let it rip, and when he can be hit again, freeze him, get on the ledge, and charge your shot.
For its second form, do not run away from where it was standing before it jumped, cause it will land on you. Instead, run towards it (and charge a shot while you run), and it will land behind you. Turn and shoot. After two shots, it will jump one more time, but when it lands, you cant hurt it. It will just stand there, until you get near it, at which it will collapse and change to the core-X form.
Stage three: If you are low on health or missles, use the screw attack to get some X out of the core-SA-X. It's core SA-X is one of them thats invulnerable except when it opens that hole to shoot a laser at you, and here you have to use a missle, as charge shots wont work. After a few hits, the shell will break, turning it into the form you can absorb.
There is a twist though, which I'm not gonna spoil, so beat the SA-X and find out for yourself.
I am assuming you're on the part where you battle it, not jus a normal encounter, am I right?

You mean the giant screamy thing? With the purple chest? That's an Omega Metroid!
Dont tell me you actually managed to survive intil the end of the time limit against that without getting hit...
Cause if you get hit, you get redused to 1 energy, and the SA-X comes in and helps you!
All you have to do is absorb its core X and hit that Omega Metroid from the same angle as the SA-X was shooting it, except you gotta use charge shots. Its really not that hard.
